E3 2011: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Confirmed

Earlier on in the week there were rumors that Activision’s next game would be Modern Warfare 3 and it looks like those rumors have now been confirmed. Kotaku somehow managed to grab a ton of information about the game from “sources” that elaborate on single player , multiplayer as well as certain plot details that are without a doubt terrible spoilers.

This game, as speculated, is being developed by what’s left of Infinity Ward in conjunction with newly found studio Sledgehammer Games as well as Raven Software. The single player campaign will continue the events of the Modern Warfare 2 spanning a ton of countries in the bargain. Multiplayer has also been expanded to include a “chunky list of playable maps as well as two types of Spec Ops modes: Survival and Mission.”

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Of course there’s a lot more to read so if you aren’t too anal about spoilers you can read pretty much every single detail about the game’s single player campaign right up to the point where you find out who lives and who dies .

Activision has not officially confirmed all this information so a few details may or may not be a 100% accurate. Either way we should get to know more at E3 2011.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
