From the immensely talented team that gave us The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, comes a brand new FPS based on the Top Cow comic book called The Darkness, and man does it show a lot of promise. In The Darkness, you’ll play as Jackie Estacado, a seemingly normal man who inherits the powers of The Darkness when he reaches the ripe age of 21. The game will be set in New York City and will involve mob bosses and crooked bosses but that’s all pretty un-interesting stuff; the highlight of this game will be the powers of Darkness Jack can wield. As and when needed, Jack can summon Darklings (they aren’t as cute as they sound) and these little buggers can raise hell. They come armed with their very own drills and saws that can be used in some nasty ways. Later on in the game, Jack has two snake-like arms protruding from his back that can be used to impale and throw people, bikes and cars too. Unfortunately, there’s no concrete trailer showcasing gameplay nor does the game have an official site till now, but go ahead and check out the teaser trailer
here and some wicked screens
here.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
