Dropbox has updated its iOS app to include a whole bunch of features. First among these is the ability to share a link to any of their folders. Dropbox previously introduced this ability to its desktop client. The updated app (v2.3) also allows iOS users to swipe on any file to share, move, delete or ‘favorite’ it. Another interesting addition is that they can select and share multiple photos with their family and friends. The ability to share multiple photos first came with Dropbox’s beta update for Android users in December last year.
Gets new features!
The app which is designed for both iPhone and iPad is also less buggy now. Head over to the iTunes store to download it. The Dropbox iOS app which is optimised for iPhone 5 is compatible with the iPod touch, and iPad. To be able to use the app, users will require devices running iOS 5.0 or later.
The app received one of its significant updates in February this year – a new PDF viewer that allows users to view their PDF documents. So, each time someone shares a Dropbox folder with the user, he will receive a push notification. The ability to sort files by date had been modified too.
Users can access their photos, documents and videos from any device using the Dropbox app. Upon sign up, users can avail 2GB of free space.
