Capcom has released DmC Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 for Rs 2,999 on either platform. The PC version will be seeing a release on January 25 and will be available for Rs 999.

Developer Ninja Theory has also released a launch trailer for the game. The trailer gives more information about the story along with a glimpse of how truly insane the level design and boss fights of the game will be.

Earlier this month, Capcom had announced that the Bloody Palace game mode will be returning in this game in an update that will be released shortly after the release of the game.

Bloody Palace mode is very well known to fans of the series. It is a survival dungeon that has more than 100 levels and extremely difficult boss fights. The Bloody Palace mode in DmC will let you compete for high scores on global leaderboards. It will be accessible after the update is released and you have completed the game once.

“But you’ll probably be thankful for the experience - not to mention the superior weapon and move loadout - when you make your first foray into this very challenging mode,” Capcom said.

Developed by Ninja Theory, DmC Devil May Cry sees the return of iconic video-game character, Dante. In a retelling of his origin story, DmC Devil May Cry retains the stylish action, fluid combat and self-assured protagonist that have defined the iconic series but injects it with a more brutal and visceral edge. Dante knows that he is not human, but also that he is not like the demons that have tormented him throughout his life. Caught between worlds, Dante must discover what it means to be the child of a demon and an angel with the help of his twin brother, Vergil, leader of the anti-establishment group “The Order”.

Ninja Theory’s reboot of the franchise has led to the main protagonist Dante looking a lot different than he used to in the previous games. He is usually seen with long white hair and carries a sword, named Rebellion, that’s about as big as he is, but in the reboot, developer Ninja Theory has given him more of a teenage look with short black hair. An interesting thing to note is Dante’s abilities concerning angelic and demonic powers. The level design takes advantage of this and has platforming segments that require Dante to pull platforms to him or swing to other platforms by using his sword.

Stay tuned for our review of the game. In the mean time, you can check out our preview of the game here.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
