The Game of the Year Edition for last year’s stealth-action game Dishonored is hitting Indian stores on October 11. Distributed by Bethesda’s Indian publisher e-xpress Interactive, it will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, and will cost Rs 2,999 on the consoles and Rs 1,999 on PC.
As is usual for any other Game of the Year Edition, this one will have all the DLC that has been released for the game so far. This includes Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches and Void Walker’s Arsenal. Because of this, Bethesda claims that it will be the definitive compilation of Dishonored.
Hitting stores tomorrow
“Dishonored introduced a new world and cast of characters which have really resonated with gamers around the world since its release in October 2012,” said Pete Hines, Vice President of Marketing and PR at Bethesda Softworks, in an earlier statement. “We’re now excited to offer people the opportunity to have all of this great content in one package.”
Developed by Arkane Studios, Dishonored casts you as Corvo, a supernatural assassin driven by revenge. With Dishonored’s combat system, you can eliminate targets by combining supernatural abilities, weapons and unusual gadgets at your disposal. Pursue enemies under the cover of darkness or ruthlessly attack them head on with weapons drawn. The outcome of each mission plays out based on the choices you make.
Dishonored draws influence from many other games, including the classic Thief and Deus Ex. The studio also managed to grab the same art director who was responsible for Valve’s epic Half-Life 2, and the influences are quite visible.
