We all know Microsoft’s Steve Ballmer as the loud, daring CEO who is famed for doing things like this:
Most recently he has been in the news for announcing that he would retire within a year, despite launching an ambitious programme, calling for ‘One Microsoft’ to pull together and forge a future based on hardware and cloud-based services.
Yesterday’s acquisition of Nokia for $7 billion was another step in that direction.

Given these big decisions and big buys, the interest around Steve Ballmer is growing. Which is why it is fitting that social media network Quora has put out this interesting thread called, “What are some great stories about Steve Ballmer?”
Among the answers on the thread are the fact that he reportedly engineered the wide detergent box for Tide, that he is not as loud as his on stage persona and that yes.. he was classmates with Mukesh Ambani at Stanford!
Other interesting factoids on the discussion include the fact that he is brilliant at mathematics.
