Twitter’s Dick Costolo announced **his resignation from the post of CEO** and has named Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey as his replacement as interim CEO. Costolo had been Twitter’s CEO for five years and led the company through a successful stock market debut in 2013. In the mean time he also increased the employee count as well as subscribers on the micro-blogging site in addition to overseeing lots of UI changes on both the web as well as mobile platforms. While this move got a lot of love from investors, pushing Twitter’s share price up by 6 percent, the reactions on Twitter itself are mixed. Here is a selection of some good and some not so good reactions on Dick Costolo’s resignation. This is the tweet that got the ball rolling

#Twitter boss Dick Costolo resigns. Always thought he was on borrowed time - not enough user growth, engagement or money making for Wall St
