Game publisher Square Enix has announced that the latest game in the dystopian cyberpunk series Deus Ex will be making its way to iOS devices this week. The game will be hitting the iTunes App Store on July 11 and is set to cost $6.99 (Rs 420 approx). The game takes place in the same time period as Human Revolution, but it follows a completely different character this time around. Judging by the announcement trailer, the game seems to be a full-fledged Deus Ex game. Check out the trailer:

The game has been developed by Square Enix’s European mobile studio, which worked with developer of Human Revolution Eidos Monteral and N-Fusion Interactive. The game’s plot acts as a sequel to the novel Deus Ex: Icarus Effect and will feature familiar characters from both the games and the books, such as the Tyrants—the group of boss fights that Adam Jensen had to fight in Human Revolution.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution was released in 2011 as a prequel to the original Deus Ex. The game takes place during the relative start of the era of human augmentation. Apart from giving great stealth and action gameplay, Human Revolution was applauded for the multiple routes through levels that it allowed. While it was applauded for all these things, the game did catch a lot of flak for having bad boss fights.

Where the original Deus Ex was famous for letting you handle any situation—including boss fights—however you wanted, Human Revolution’s boss fight could only be fought like a typical FPS game. Read our review for Deus Ex: Human Revolution here .

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
