Ubisoft has revealed details about the exclusive content that will be featured in the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The bonus content will feature around an hour’s worth of content and will feature Aveline de Grandpré, previously the main character of PS Vita-exclusive Assassin’s Creed: Liberation.
In the one hour span of the content, gamers will play through three missions, all of which will take place after an unspecified amount of time following the events of Liberation. “It’s a ways forward so Aveline is a bit older,” said Black Flag lead writer Darby McDevitt. “It’s not directly related to the end of her story. If Assassin’s Creed 4 is like a novel, Aveline’s missions are like a short story.”
Aveline will be a bit older in Black Flag
Sony and Ubisoft had announced that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag would be getting content exclusive to Sony’s consoles back in January. Ubisoft’s other upcoming open world game, Watch Dogs, will also be getting exclusive PlayStation content.
Watch Dogs on Sony’s consoles will have four exclusive missions that are centred on a faction that is fighting for freedom in the digital age. Players take on the role of protagonist Aiden Pearce as he gets revenge on a tech mogul in Chicago who has done wrong against the faction. Aiden Pearce will also get a new suit after finishing the extra missions.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is hitting stores on October 29 on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and the PC. Watch Dogs will be hitting stores on November 19 for the PC, Wii U, Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. It will be coming to the PlayStation 4 on November 14.
