Dell was sued by 19 people in Xiamen, China, for selling laptops with Intel processors that had fewer features than the advertised models. Dell is now offering refunds to those customers in China. A separate case was also filed based on the same complaint last month in Shanghai. Trying to downplay the obvious controversy the company attributed the problem to a “marketing error” and said the company was offering full refunds. It also went on to say it was working closely with the customers to rectify the errors and prevent such incidents from occurring again.
