Micheal Dell, the founder of Dell Computers, recently announced that they would be hiring 500 engineers in Austin,Texas. The hub of Dell’s production is based in Rock Rock, Texas. This would be one of their largest recruitment drives for technical personnel since it laid off 5700 workers in 2001. This is much to do with the fact that Dell is losing its stock to the stiff competition it’s facing. It has also upped its sales and support to the same reason.

According to Roger L. Kay, the founder of End Point Technologies and one of the best known market intelligence analysts, this would squeeze their margins (Dell’s) but it’s being done to build a long term position in the market.
