Publisher Deep Silver has unveiled a new limited edition for the upcoming Saints Row 4. Going with the game's over-the-top themes, the limited edition is dubbed Game of the Generation. The company has gone pretty much all out with the limited edition.
Costing $129.99 (Rs 7,680 approx), the Game of the Generation edition has a light-up rotating "Display Case of Everlasting Glory" where you can display the game. It also comes with a velvet pouch that you can put over the case. Other than this, the limited edition also packs in goodies from the Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition, which includes a 12-inch replica of the Dubstep gun, an 8-inch figurine of character Johnny Gat as well as a Dubstep Doomsday Button that you can carry around. You know, just in case you might need a sudden dose of dubstep.
Both of these editions also come with the digital goodies from the Commander in Chief Edition, which includes the Screaming Eagle, an Uncle Sam uniform and a 'Merica Gun.
Earlier, Volition had announced plans for the game's first DLC, dubbed Enter the Dominatrix. The DLC will be presented as a mockumentary starring the game's characters. The DLC has been titled Enter the Dominatrix and is expected to hit stores around six weeks after the release of Saints Row 4.
Originally, Enter the Dominatrix was going to be a DLC for Saints Row The Third, but Volition went for a sequel instead. Earlier rumours had suggested that Saints Row 4 would be based on the Enter the Dominatrix DLC; however, those rumours have since been put to rest thanks to announcements by Volition and Deep Silver.
Currently, Saints Row 4 is up for pre-order on digital distribution platform Steam. Since publisher Deep Silver doesn’t have an Indian presence, it is unknown if the game will be released here through retail channels. The game will be out on August 20.
