DataWind launches 7-inch tablet PC in India at Rs 5,999

DataWind has introduced a new tablet for the Indian market and gave it the unimaginative monicker of Tablet PC i3G7 which will be available for a price of Rs 5,999. The device will be available with gadgets360. In terms of specifications, the device will feature a 7-inch display along with a 1.2 GHz Intel Quad Core X3 64-bit processor. The device includes an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. Running Android Lollipop 5.1, the device includes connectivity features such as WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB connectivity. The company claims that the device will offer talk-talktime of up to 4 hours and a standby time of up to 5 days. Other features include HD playback and DataWind’s proprietary web delivery technology. The tablet also supports 3G SIM cards. Suneet Singh Tuli, CEO DataWind, said, “With this new product, we are offering Indian consumers a unique combination of superior technology and unmatched style. Like its predecessors, the tablet offers the right mix of features and on-the-go connectivity. The launch of our new tablet reinforces our commitment to empower consumers with the best and most unique technology at a great value. Our low cost, Internet-enabled products enable more people to join the digital age. Our focus on introducing technologically advanced devices at the most affordable prices is our way of contributing to the Digital India Vision.”
