While Dark Souls 2 might feel like it’s an eternity away—the game’s release is in March—Amazon has started taking pre-orders for the Collector’s Edition of the game. Lacking any fancy name, the Collector’s Edition of Dark Souls 2 is priced at $119.99, which roughly translates to Rs 7,467. The Collector’s Edition will be available for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
We’re surprised it isn’t called the “YOU’RE GONNA DIE” Edition or something
The Collector’s Edition comes with the Black Armor Edition of Dark Souls 2, along with an official Soundtrack CD, a 12-inch figurine of a Warrior Knight, the in-game map made of cloth and a collectable art book. All of this comes packed in a shiny display box. The fancier-sounding Black Armor Edition is just simply a copy of the game that comes bundled with the soundtrack CD. Separately, it costs $59.99, which roughly translates to Rs 3,733.
While the game’s hitting consoles on March 14, the PC version will be released a bit later . Game Director Yui Tanimura told Eurogamer that the PC version is being delayed because of the optimisation required to get the most out of PC hardware. “In terms of the PC version, how we make the PC version optimal in Dark Souls 2 we’re still working on what options we allow players to have in order for players to customize the spec of the PC version,” he said. “Our goal is to release the PC version in the same window. For the PC version we’re simply saying March - we’re trying our best for PC and console. The reason we can’t announce the specific date is we’re working on more options on how to make the PC version optimal.”
