Cyanogen 12.1 OTA update rolling out for the Yu Yuphoria

Yu Televentures has finally rolled out its Cyanogen 12.1 update for its Yu Yuphoria smartphone. The update which is an almost stock version of Android brings the latest version of Cyanogen OS, version 12.1 and its new features. According to the blog post from the official Yu forums, the team has worked to bring enhanced responsiveness and performance improvements to the smartphone with this update. Also added to the new software are some enhanced thermal controls to help the smartphone run cooler. As for the new features, they include a redesigned launcher (with accessibility in mind), Live Display that intelligently adjusts your screen based on the lighting conditions, increased number of codecs for video and audio playback; and a new app called Boxer that combines your Calendar with your email. The Yu Yuphoria was announced back in May and basically offered Cyanogen OS on a budget. The device packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with 2 GB RAM and 2230mAh battery. The handset launched with Cyanogen OS 12.
