Remember Free Radical? The guys who made the awesome Timesplitter series and the horrifying Haze? They went bankrupt a while back but now it seems the makers of Crysis, Crytek Studios have bailed them out from their misery by buying them out.

Here’s what Avni Yerli, Managing Director of Crytek, had to say about the acquisition, “We’re very excited about this step to expand Crytek into the UK with such an experienced and highly talented team. Free Radical Design is a great fit to Crytek and its culture, given that Free Radical has a proven track record on delivering high quality games. The combination of this team, the Crytek network and our CryENGINE technology will be a foundation for outstanding gaming experiences and a magnet for the best talent in the UK.”
So will the new Timesplitters game be made using Crytek’s CryEngine? One can dream yes?
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
