Creo, the startup that promised to release monthly software updates with its first smartphone, dubbed the Mark 1, is now offering the device at a 70 percent discount. Celebrating the 70th Independence Day, the company will be offering the device with 70 percent off, at Rs 13,999, from August 8 to August 15, on the company website. The original price was Rs 19,999.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 5.5-inch QHD display with a 2560x1440 pixel resolution (2K) along with Gorilla Glass for protection. It's powered by a 1.9GHz True OctaCore MediaTek Helio X10 processor paired with 3GB RAM. It will include 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The new smartphone comes equipped with a 21MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash and will record videos in slo-mo and 4K resolution. You'll also find an 8MP front facing camera that can record 1080p resolution videos. The USP of the device is its Fuel OS, which the company promises to update every month. We've already seen the company release software updates. Creo had grabbed eyeballs by claiming the device will be a ‘new phone every month’. Though we've not seen yet seen anything significant enough to justify that claim.
