The newest game in the Total War series takes the action back to the same setting as the third game of the series—ancient Rome. The original Total War: Rome was when many considered the series to have come into its own, despite previous games in the series also receiving critical acclaim.
Games in the Total War series are split into two parts: a civilization-esque giant “board game” where players and the AI take turns to do various things like improving cities and states, and a more traditional real-time strategy view where the game’s gigantic battles take place.
Total War: Rome 2 is set to hit store shelves on September 3 and is available for pre-order on digital distribution service Steam for a hefty price tag of $59.99 (Rs 3,560 approx).
