Cortana on iOS can now remember where you parked your car

The update tagged as version 1.9.0 will now help Cortana remember things for you.

Microsoft's Cortana is getting smarter by the day. A new update for the iOS app now lets users save location-based reminders. The update tagged as version 1.9.0 will now help Cortana remember things for you.

While the reminders can be added via voice, Microsoft's Cortana can now remember those location and time based reminders and will prompt you when needed. The new update also adds improved feedback input experience as well.

Cortana on iOS basically acts like a bridge for users who own an iOS-powered device and a Windows-based system. The voice assistant will connect the dots and provide a seamless experience for users who frequently switch between the two operating systems, and keep both devices updated and notified at all times provided you have Microsoft account.

Microsoft recently rolled out a much-awaited Cortana feature that lets the voice assistant communicate with other Windows 10 systems associated with the same Microsoft ID.  The feature in question lets Cortana tell you if other connected devices are running low on battery, if you missed a text and even sends app notifications. The feature must be explicitly enabled in Cortana’s settings menu, where you need to enable the “Send phone notifications” feature. Considering that Cortana is set to make a splash on Xbox One as well, this will be a very useful to monitor your devices while gaming or working or doing just about anything else.
