Corning launches Masterpix in India, a service that allows users to print fine glass photo prints on Gorilla Glass

Corning today announced the launch of Masterpix in India. Masterpix is a service that allows users to print photos on Gorilla Glass. The products available include wedding photograph prints, certificates or corporate gifts, art or photography prints, large sized prints to be used as posters or paintings and visiting cards. The prices for these offerings range from Rs. 629 for a 4x6 print to Rs. 51,099 for a 48x55 print. The printing is done on the Gorilla Glass using UV cured ink, the resulting print is long lasting and of archival quality.

“We are excited to launch MASTERPIX in India,” said Amit Bansal, president, Corning India.  “Consumers in the region can now have stunning photographs that will last more than a lifetime printed on optically clear, stain-resistant Gorilla Glass. Masterpix was launched in the US in 2014. In India, prints in a square aspect ratio of 6x6 or 16x16 are not available, and neither are some stands and accessories. It is also possible to order an Instagram collage on the US version of the store.

The prints can be used in the same way as conventional photos, put in a stand for desktops, framed like a normal photo, or mounted on a wall. The prints are available in two glass finishes, matte and glossy.
