Coolest dads evar!

I don’t know about you, but my dad always felt (and still does) games were a waste of time. As clichéd as that may sound, I’ve got the “Why are you wasting your life playing games” speech through most of my teen years. Luckily, I never listened to him and here I am, playing games for a living (so much for parental advice).

To commemorate Father’s Day, videogames.aol.com has an interesting article about the Coolest Dads in the Universe. These dads who are some of the biggest names in the gaming industry not only game with their children, but they even allow them to play games not designed by them (for shame). Will Wright, the man behind Spore and the Sims and his daughter trip out on Guitar Hero, while Sid Meier’s son plays Oblivion and Rockstar’s Table Tennis. Coolest dads in the Universe? Article should have been called “The luckiest brats in the freaking universe”.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
