Cooler Master has launched the HAF XB (window version) PC chassis. The cabinet combines the cooling capabilities of the HAF series with the compactness of a TestBench. The company claims that the chassis will appeal to different demographics, including enthusiasts, overclockers and LAN party attendees.
Crane Chen, Country Manager India, Cooler Master, said, “The Cooler Master HAF XB is an innovative product and the first of its kind to be made available to consumers in India. The HAF XB offers features that will fit the requirements of any end-user looking out for a performance-oriented, feature-rich chassis for their gaming and overclocking needs.”
As per the press release, the HAF XB’s form factor offers space and flexibility in a compact LAN box. The chassis has rugged looks, good airflow and modular features. The top panel has an acrylic window so you can show-off your rig.
The HAF XB has space for two 120mm fans in the front, a large 200mm one on the top, and a 120mm and two 80mm fans on the rear panel. Cable tie areas make cable routing easier, reduce clutter and improve ventilation. Steel reinforced grab handles on side panels make it easy to move the box around.
Cooler Master’s HAF XB looks like a LAN box
The HAF XB looks like it can seamlessly transform into a TestBench for overclockers. It has a removable motherboard tray that will be convenient for swapping hardware, and there is enough room to accommodate LN apparatus. The seven expansion slots leave enough space for triple SLI/CrossFire and the two X-Docks support 2.5-inch SSDs or 3.5-inch HDDs. The front panel I/O has two USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfer.
The HAF XB (window version) is priced at Rs 8,499 and carries a one-year warranty.
Cooler Master launched the K380 entry-level gaming chassis in December last year. The design of the K380 is based on the HAF chassis and has a transparent side panel that lets you peek at the hardware you’ve installed. There is enough space to cram in a long graphics card, like the GTX 690, and a big CPU cooler like the Hyper 212 Plus. Up front, there is a 120mm red LED fan.
The Cooler Master K380 has room for no less than six HDDs and three 5.25-inch bays. The K380 sports a tool-less mechanism that will let you open the cabinet and maintain the interiors of your computer without much fuss. It supports up to four 120mm fans, along with one on the side panel to cool the graphics card. There are cutouts for routing cables if you prefer a clean, organised interior for your system.
The Cooler Master K380 is optimised for better airflow. The front steel mesh panel and large vents at the top, rear, bottom and sides move significant amounts of air, leading to a cool and properly ventilated system.
The Cooler Master K380 is priced at Rs 4,399 and comes with a one-year warranty.
