Computex 2015: Asus unveils ZenWatch 2, Zenfone Selfie with 13MP camera

At an ongoing Computex 2015 event in Taipei, Taiwan, Asus today unveiled many new products which include the ZenFone Selfie, ZenPad 8.0, ZenPad S 8.0, Zen AiO Series, ZenWatch 2 and the ProArt PA329Q 4K/UHD monitor. Asus ZenFone Selfie The Asus Zenfone Selfie sports a 5.5-inch screen with a 1920×1080 resolution along with a 403 ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The new smartphone will come in two RAM variants - 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM. It also comes with an option to choose between 16GB or 32GB of inbuilt storage and can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. Of course, the biggest highlight of the smartphone is its camera. It sports a 13MP camera, both on the rear as well as on the front. The rear camera features a large f/2.0 aperture lens and laser auto-focus technology. Additional features include low light mode, Selfie Panorama mode, backlight (HDR) mode, enhanced beautification mode, manual mode, and zero shutter lag. The front facing camera comes equipped with flash as well. The ZenFone Selfie runs on Android Lollipop along with the company’s Asus ZenUI on top. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone features Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. It will be available in Pure White, Chic Pink, Aqua Blue, Glacier Gray, Sheer Gold, and Glamour Red colour variants. Asus ZenWatch 2 Asus announced the ZenWatch 2, a wearable device powered by Android Wear and produced in partnership with Google. The smartwatch will come in two sizes with different models namely ZenWatch 2 (WI501Q), and ZenWatch 2 (WI502Q). They feature an interchangeable 22mm strap and an 18mm strap, respectively. The ZenWatch 2 works with the next-gen Wellness smartphone app to provide a comprehensive solution for fitness and wellness. According to Asus, the ‘ZenWatch 2 is designed to be a truly personal device that wearers can customize  to express their unique sense of style.’ It now includes a metal watch crown and also comes with an all-new magnetic charger. It is powered by an unknown Qualcomm processor, an Amoled display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and IP67 water resistance.
