PM Modi who is on his second US visit this year will be addressing the techies at Code For India Hackathon at Google and TechMahindra by the end of the day.

The overnight Hackathon at the Google HQ is in honour of the PM's visit to Silicon Valley and aims at his flagship initiatives - Digital India and Skilled India. It involves over 200 software engineers from Google's Mountain View base and over 160 participants in 40 teams at the Tech Mahindra office.

The mantra is, "Think local, Hack global". The challenges will be around building a solution to address problem areas such as women safety, suffering farmers, weather and likewise.

Applications will be judged based on technical accomplishment, creativity, design, and of course, how effectively it solved the challenge problem. Those with unique solution and cross-continental collaboration can gain additional points.
