Cloud gaming company LiquidSky releases second version of app for PC gaming on Android

LiquidSky, a reputed name in the cloud gaming platform, has released a revamped Android app called LiquidSky 2.0, which will help mobile gamers to play their PC games on mobile phones operating on Android OS. The company’s objective is for mobile gamers to run high-end PC games on mobile phones, even though the hardware of mobile phones is not designed to run them.  It does so by running the game on their cloud server called as the SkyComputer using an extremely low-latency algorithm and streaming the images to the smartphone or tablet in an efficient way. Users have to just download any game they want from one of the major storefronts such as Steam, Blizzard, Origin etc. If the game runs on Windows you can most likely play it.

This essentially means that players can enjoy high-end games that they have already purchased for PC without the hassle of buying expensive hardware.  The Android app supports all the features and performance enhancements recently made available in the LiquidSky 2.0 Windows PC beta. The company is also looking to expand to Apple products as well, in the future. If you do not like to play games on a touchscreen interface, LiquidSky 2.0 will be supporting a variety of controllers including Android-specific and popular Sony and Microsoft console compatible controllers. You can download the LiquidSky App for free on an ad-supported version while the paid version starts at at $10 or pay on a monthly basis at $20 a month and get the maximum benefits. The cloud gaming services were earlier offered by OnLive, but the company started to decline after OnLive crashed in 2012 and was subsequently shut-down in 2015. However, LiquidSky looks to have a promising future after they  partnered with IBM to build its own custom cloud solution and raised around $8 million from investors including Sun Microsystems.
