The Operating System (OS) is at the heart of any computing device, and while many of us are quick to update the OS on our PCs whenever a new release comes, a personal dipstick survey I conducted of BlackBerry smartphones in a range of 50 metres from my workstation revealed that all were running some version of BlackBerry OS 4.0. And this when BlackBerry OS 5.0 was released in the latter half of 2009.
