The developer of these games, Zynga plans to grow bigger and better in India with the opening of a complete game studio called Studio-I.

If you’re on Facebook, the chances of you owning a virtual farm, or a whole town, or a team in Mafia Wars run high. For others, these games have got the world talk in a different lingo!

What’s news is that the developer of these games; Zynga plans to grow bigger and better in India with the opening of a complete game studio called Studio-I . Zynga has grown tremendously post it kicking start its India office, in February last year. It now plans to go bigger in its presence, both in the number of employees as also the arenas of gaming. The Farmville developer would concentrate more on creative conceptualization, and hence, would hire people with that profile.

The expansion plans of Zynga have probably come in at the right time. If figures could speak, these ones scream. If details of the report by AppData, a US based entity that tracks the traffic on social networking platforms are to believed then a whopping 92.9 million active users spend a considerable time playing Zynga’s latest game, Cityville. Farmville still remains to be a considerable favorite with over 49.6 million active users owning virtual farmlands.

In plans of expansion, Zynga has already got into the hiring mode. Names like Dhimant Vyas (of Taare Zameen Par fame), Ruddra (author of Dorje’s Stripes) are now a part of the Zynga bandwagon.
