In light of this haute couture culture that we live in today, big name fashion house Christian Dior has decided to expand their technology face with the addition of yet another mobile handset. In May of 2008 they launched their first Luxury handset in a range of colors.
This new range of handsets includes gold plated, black PVD coated (with encrusted sapphire crystals) models and two that are diamond encrusted. Can they get any richer or exquisite than that? I think not.
The handsets with the sapphire crystals would set you back about Rs. 3,01,148 ($6,500) and the ones with diamonds which incidentally are named the Zelie (red) and the Zenaide (white) are priced at about Rs. 3,66,011 (7,900) and Rs. 6,20,830 respectively. The new handsets have however retained a clamshell form factor.
The handsets are available via special order from their website here.
