CES: Westinghouse Launches Slew Of LCDs

One good thing that seems to be emerging out of CES is a rash of LCD panel releases. The latest company to announce a full slew of sleek widescreen and conventional ratio monitors, is Westinghouse a firm that is not too widely known in our part of the world.

They kick off their releases with two 19-inch monitors namely the 19 L1928NV and L1975NW. The L1928NV offers a more mainstream resolution i.e. 1280x1024 resolution (5 by 4) and sports DVI and VGA. The L1975NW in comparison is a widescreen monitor with a 16:10 ratio and has a resolution of 1440x900. Both sport 650:1 contrast ratios, 5-millisecond response time and will cost between $299 and $320 respectively. The 20" L2046NV is a 20.1 inch LCD panel with a 1400x1050, 5-millisecond response time, 650:1 contrast ratio and wide 170/160-degree viewing angles. The L2046NV will be available in March 2007 for $349 MSRP.

The 22" LCM-22w3 is a 22-inch widescreen monitor that has a native resolution of 1680x1050, 5-millisecond response time DVI inputs and multimedia speakers. This monitor will cost $449 and will be available in March. The final release is the L2410NM is a 24" multifunction monitor that has a 1920x1200 resolution, 700:1 contrast ratio and a variety of connectivity options such as S-video, component and composite connections aside from the standard DVI.
