CES is upon us and the hardware deluge has started. First off the block is Samsung, who has announced the world’s first consumer oriented 27" display. This announcement comes just a week after Dell had ‘accidentally’ leaked its plans on its website indicating that it intended to ship a 27" display in the near future.
The Samsung 275T shares its specifications with the Dell 27 inch display. Both displays have similar resolutions of 1920x1200 and sport D-Sub, DVI-DVD ,S-Video and component inputs. The monitor also boasts of a good 6ms gray-to-gray response time, 500 cd/m2 brightness and a 3000:1 constrast ratio.
Overall there is not much to separate the two monitors as they both utilize Samsung’s own 8-bit widescreen S-PVA LTM270M1 panel.
The expected price of this monitor is $999 and will ship in Feb 2007.
