Samsung is displaying the new K3 MP3 player, which is a version of the K5 player launched last year , without the slide out speaker.

The whole K5 ‘MPFreedom’ deal didn’t change the world for a majority of people, who still prefer the slimness of the iPod nano to the almost brick-like thickness of the K5, so Samsung decided to make the K3. The result is a player that’s 6.8mm thin — almost equal to the nano!
Other than the speaker, the K3 has all the features of the K5: MP3, WMA with PlaysForSure support, an FM radio tuner, a 1.8-inch OLED display, touch-sensitive controls, etc.
To be released in March this year, the YP-K3 will come in 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB. Prices will be $119 (Rs. 5,300), $159 (Rs. 7,000) and $209 (Rs. 9,300). No idea when it’ll come to India.
