CES: G-Tech Offers Water-proof Case for iPod

G-Tech , manufacturer and supplier of innovative mobile computing and consumer electronic products, has announced a new water repellent carrying case for iPods. The Sound Shell semi-hard case stores the iPod away from environmental hazards yet allows full control of the device simply by tapping the ‘smart fabric’ graphics on the outside of the case.

Users can enjoy music with headphones or share tunes with friends through the ultra-thin NXT speaker built into the shell. The stylish G-Tech Sound Shell utilizes ElekTex smart fabric controls, a unique five-layer laminate of electrically conductive materials that transforms fabric into an electronic touchpad. The ElekTex lightweight, washable material replaces the hard touch pads, flexi-circuits, and polymer switches which have limited the growth of the consumer electronics accessories market.

“The G-Tech Sound Shell is a handy and fun way to extend the life of your iPod and have easy access to enjoying your music,” said Mark Treger, vice president of sales and marketing of G-Tech. “It’s ideal for students as well as any professional on the go.”

Born with the sole aim of correcting people, Sharon took to copy-editing at an early age. In the olden days her methods of correction were rather unorthodox. Don't believe us? Ask the intern who lost two of his er.... Oh ok, I guess we don't talk about that. Now after she got a kid, things have relatively mellowed down. Besides handling the plethora of content that comes out of Tech2, Sharon also handles our sister site, CompareIndia where you can well compare prices of pretty much every electronic item under the sun and CHIP magazine as well, if things weren't heavy enough. She handles a team, all of who seem real happy as long as they're not chained to their desks.
