This year at the CES, Lenovo plans to showcase its refreshed ThinkPad lineup and several accessories.

Lenovo plans to showcase its refreshed ThinkPad lineup and several accessories at the CES this year.

To begin with, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which has been around for a couple of years, has now been upgraded with Intel’s fifth-generation processors along with faster solid-state drives and new business software. Yes, it gets the highly-anticipated Broadwell processor.

While upgrading to the latest technology, Lenovo has bid goodbye to the clickable trackpad and the adaptive row of function buttons above the keyboard. They are now replaced by the three trackpoint buttons and the standard F1-F12 keys that we’ve seen for years. Starting at $1,249, the 14-inch laptop weighs less than three pounds.

Some models will come with new features, such as Intel’s 3D RealSense camera or discrete graphics. The rest of the ThinkPad series namely, X, T, L and E will also get Broadwell upgrades. The all-new X1 Carbon will be out this month, and the remaining bunch of ThinkPads are expected in February.

“It has been a genuine privilege to be an integral part of the ThinkPad notebook's success through one hundred million units,” said Brian Krzanich, Intel CEO. “The dedication and imagination of ThinkPad engineers over the years has produced some remarkable technological breakthroughs. As computing takes new forms and enables amazing new experiences, Intel is eager to see what Lenovo can come up with next.”

Along with updates for ThinkPad notebooks, Lenovo has announced new accessories in its 'Think' line of products. The company brings in the ThinkPad Stack that it calls a modular, portable office with several different accessories. Then, there's the ThinkVision X24, a premium-looking borderless display. It is only 7.5 mm thick and offers a 23.8-inch, 1080p IPS Neo Blade panel. The X24 comes with a pre-coated metal surface on the rear. It features a DisplayPort, packs HDMI connections and an adjustable chrome stand. It will be available towards April at a retail price of $249.
