CES 2011: ViewPad 10 and 7 Get Company - ViewPad 10S and ViewPad 4

Viewsonic’s tablets, the ViewPad 10 and Viewpad 7 get two siblings - the ViewPad 10S and the ViewPad 4. The 10S might sound like a small update, but the new ViewPad gets 3G functionality and a massive processor upgrade - a 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor to be precise. The new processor should be able to handle Flash content a lot better than the previous one.

The ViewPad 4 on the other hand only has a 4.1-inch display, supporting a 480p resolution. The processor on it will be a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 and it’ll also support 802.11b/g WiFi. The tablet will include a 5MP camera which can record 720p video content that can be outputted to a high-definition display using the built-in HDMI port. We aren’t sure what the point of such a small tablet is. It’s bound to have an identity crisis at some point - “am I a phone or am I a tablet?”

There’s no word on the pricing yet, but we’ll let you know once we get our hands on any information.
