CES 2011: Toshiba Announces New Line of 3D TVs

CES 2011: Toshiba Announces New Line of 3D TVs

Two ranges of TVs have been announced by Toshiba; the TL515 series and the UL610 series and they’re looking pretty good, as they are really slim and have that nice, chromed look. These beauties have brains too, as Toshiba’s new CEVO technology is supposed to enhance 3D picture quality and allows 2D to 3D conversion. Another interesting feature is the 3D Cross Talk canceler, which is said to reduce ghosting for better 3D images.

New CEVO technology - will it rise up to expectations?

Toshiba’s first Natural 3D LED TV, the TL515 Series, creates 3D images using affordable polarized glasses. The TL515 Series is targeted at consumers looking for a 3D experience and a low total cost of ownership. This TV Features a Black Brushed Aluminum look and features a 1080p Full HD CineSpeed Plus LED panel with Local Dimming for and new 240Hz ClearScan technology. The TL515 Series also features the built-in Wi-Fi and Net TV with Yahoo Widgets, and will be available in 32-, 42-, 47-, 55- and 65-inch diagonal screen sizes, starting in March 2011.

The UL610 Cinema Series TVs feature Toshiba’s all new Full HD 1080p Quantum BLACK LED Panel with Fine Local Dimming and CrystalCoat, which provide dramatic contrast for better black levels, a faster response time and new CEVO-powered 480Hz ClearScan technology that enables clearer pictures during fast moving scenes. With active shutter glasses, the UL610 Cinema Series provides 1920x1080p Full HD 3D. The UL610 Cinema Series feature Toshiba’s new Metal Blade Design with Illusion Stand and includes built-in Wi-Fi, Net TV with Yahoo! Widgets and a built-in sub-woofer speaker. The UL610 Cinema Series will be available in 46-, 55- and 65-inch diagonal screen sizes, and will be available in April 2011.
