CES 2010: Samsung to Collect a Million Phones for Recycling in 2010

Samsung in this year’s CES seems to have put their mobile handset division in the back seat and have focused a bit more on their audio visual components. It’s expected considering this is the year our homes finally go 3D with TV manufacturers going overboard with the technology.

However, Samsung’s mobile division has announced a new initiative to collect one million mobile phones for recycling by the end of 2010. The company plans to achieve this goal through a series of in-school education programs across the U.S., along with collection sites at major Samsung Mobile events and sponsorships, including the Samsung Mobile 500 NASCAR Race in April 2010.
