Celkon Campus A518 launched at Rs 4500; sports 5-inch display, 3.2MP camera

Celkon Mobiles today launched the new ultra-affordable smartphone  Campus A518 in India. The device is priced at Rs 4,500 and will be available in all leading retail stores across the country but no information has been provided as to whether the device will be available online. The Celkon Campus A518 will be available in White and Dark Blue colour variants. In terms of specifications, the smartphone sports a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a 1GHz single-core processor paired with 512MB RAM. On the memory front, the device packs in an internal storage of 4GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. The device comes equipped with a 3.2MP rear camera with flash while there is a 1.3MP front facing camera. The dual SIM device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. In terms of connectivity, the device supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and Bluetooth. The smartphone is backed by a 2000mAh Lithium Ion battery. It measures 145 x 73 x 9.75mm and weighs 164 grams.
