PC and peripheral company Genius, has launched a slew of products at CeBIT 2007, which target the categories of mobile, lifestyle, VoIP and Bluetooth.
In the first product category, which concerns lifestyle products such as Media center PCs, Genius has unveiled three Media Center ready remote controls, one multimedia keyboard and TV boxes with Media Center Edition (MCE) functionality. These products have been designed to bring live TV, DVD, Internet chatting, multimedia entertainment, etc. to the living room.
In the second category which is related to mobiles and Bluetooth, Genius has brought out two Bluetooth headsets. The headsets namely called BT-03A and BT-02N support switching between phone conversations and MP3 listening. Genius has also released a small Bluetooth keyboard which is foldable and can be used with Bluetooth-ready mobiles for PIM management.
In the third category which relates to VoIP, Genius has brought Windows Vista ready webcams that can be used for making video calls. The two models that have been introduced are the Slim 1322 AF and Look 1320. The Slim 1322 AF boasts of an optical auto-focus lens and supports MP–HD ready video capabilities. The Look 1320 on the other hand has a 1.3 MP lens and supports enhancement of image quality in low-light environments. Finally the other VoIP peripherals include 2.0CH speakers with a microphone jack, one Skype phone with mouse function and USB noise-canceling headsets.
In the Personal Audio segment, Genius has released four iPod docking speaker models out of which two are portable and one has Bluetooth support. They have also released the SP-HF 1250K karaoke speakers. Genius has gone on to indicate, that they will unveil game controllers for PC games such as Grandias 12V gamepad with 3-level turbo and macro function, vibration force-feedback racing wheels and 1600dpi carbon laser mice. For online games, they plan to release the turbo ErgoMedia 500 gaming keyboard. Other gaming peripherals which will be released soon will include 45-watt 2.1 speakers and USB comfortable headsets.
Finally Genius will be demonstrating their latest mouse the Genius Traveller 355 Laser. This mouse uses Genius’s own technology called Optowheel. This technology utilizes an optical sensor to replace the wheel and features a comfortable touch scroll panel. This allows for four way scrolling and is easier to use than the traditional mechanical wheel. On the bottom of Traveler 355 Laser is the advanced laser technology that makes this mouse work reliably on most types of surfaces and offers much higher tracking power than regular optical mice.
