Fresh off of the loyalty rewarding gripe on Facebook Places’ arrival in India, Cafe Coffee Day’s decided to start treating its regulars a little better. Select outlets in Bangalore are offering users who check in on Foursquare three times in the same outlet a 15% discount on their order the third time they check in. There’s no mention on how far apart in time the check-ins can be. The Mayor of the outlet gets a free coffee and a 20% discount on their order every 3rd time they visit. Considering how often Mayors are ousted, these Cafe Coffee Day Mayors in Bangalore better stay on top of their game.

This is a high time coming. It’s sad that Cafe Coffee Day’s limiting this goodness to Bangalore but hey, if they had this deal in Mumbai, every wannabe actor in Lokhandwala would run out and get a smartphone. With Facebook Places coming, it’ll be interesting to see more restaurants and coffee shops buck up their game, since, these location based services do work in their favour.
