burrp! launches Android app

Finding a restaurant serving your favourite cuisine, or a coffee shop for that impromptu date may have gotten simpler. burrp.com, India’s No.1 local recommendations guide, is now on Android. The app lets you search for best restaurants, nightlife, events, movies, salons, spas and places to shop at. At a glance, the burrp! Android app  lets you discover restaurants, cafés, bars, and other cool hangouts around you. Using the application, you can find the timings of must-go events and movies in town. You can also browse menus, photos, ratings and user reviews

Users can post their reviews and upload photos instantly. They can also get recommendations, restaurant reviews and other expert advice. The app claims to offer you one-click access to favourite listings and events.

To be able to use the app, users will require Android devices running v2.2 and above. The app is available for download on the Google Play store, here. burrp! is available for users in the following cities: Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR/Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Goa, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Kochi.

burrp! recently released its app for iOS users too. The iOS app, as per its listing on the iTunes store, detects the user’s location and gives them nearby user-reviewed options for best restaurants, bars, pubs, events, movies, salons/ spas, places to shop at and all of the city’s best hangouts. Along with searching for the nearest, newly opened or top rated place, you can view complete details like restaurant menus, photos, contact details, maps & directions and trusted user reviews. 

Using the iOS app, users can even check-in, write reviews, upload photos and share with friends while at their favourite place. They can alternatively check show-timings of latest movies and book tickets. 

The app also allows them to filter restaurants by cuisines or select burrp!-certified places or simply find one that delivers at home. They can also get directions to newly-opened places or get updates on the best shopping deals in town. The burrp! iOS app allows users to browse reviews, look up addresses and phone numbers for thousands of businesses, then call or map them from their iPhone. The app also allows them to check show timings, reviews of latest movies and book tickets

The iOS app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. To be able to use the burrp! iOS app, users will require devices running iOS 4.0 or later.
