Add this one to the existing string of rumours surrounding the budget iPhone. MacRumors reports citing one Chinese site that the low-cost iPhone may sport the same 8MP sapphire crystal-coated camera as the iPhone 5. The Chinese site IT168 is carrying an image of a camera module and claims that it belongs to the low-cost iPhone.
Considering how much the word “premium” has grown to become synonymous with iDevices, there has been a great deal of excitement surrounding this “rumoured” product.

Recently, a report from China Labor Watch shed some more light on the existence of a budget Apple iPhone. The new PDF report from the labour group detailed upon the poor working conditions of workers at the Pegatron plant in Shanghai, as the company prepared to unveil a scaled-back, less expensive version of the iPhone.
If that wasn’t enough, a slim fit case reportedly managed to show up on Amazon. By the looks of it, it seemed to have been made to fit the iPhone 5C. The image also confirms rumours that the smartphone will indeed sport elongated volume buttons on the side.
Earlier last month, a few pictures of volume rockers and lock switches of the affordable iPhone managed to show up on Chinese micro-blogging site Sina Weibo. The leak more-or-less confirmed that the affordable iPhone will be made of plastic and will have a wide variety of colour options—yellow, blue, red and green.
French gadget blog Nowhereelse too posted images of a bright green back panel with the Apple logo and “iPhone” etched on it, indicating that it may belong to the low-cost phone that the company is reportedly making. The post clarifies at the beginning itself that the images could well be that of a Chinese lookalike and urges readers to exercise caution when viewing them.
