The report further adds that the revised rates will pertain to roaming as well as home networks. Needless to add, such a sharp cut in the data plans will be welcomed with open arms by the operator’s subscribers, since this way the mobile data services will get all the more affordable. All the above mentioned tariffs for the data use will come into effect from June 1, 2012. Elaborating on further on the latest development, the report added, “Additional data usage charges for 2G & 3G  postpaid data plans revised from 4 p/10 KB to 1p/10KB. Data usage charges for 2G & 3G voice plan customers not using any data plan revised from 4 p/10 KB to 1p/10KB. The 1 p/10KB rates will be applicable in both Home as well as roaming networks.”
