Britney Spears's a favorite on Google+, beats Larry Page

Pop sensation, Britney Spears has moved over to become the most followed person on Google+, dethroning even co-founder, Larry Page from the top spot, confirms a report in Contact Music. ‘Britney, who’s get several chartbusters to her credit, including the latest ‘Hold it Against Me’ now has a whopping 743,000 followers on Google+, while Page fell short at 742,500. Although quite new, when compared to some others already in the game, Google+ has been already creating waves. Several celebrities, including singers, socialites, actors like Snoop Dogg, Paris Hilton, Shah Rukh Khan, among others are all part of the user base.

Moving on to yet another popular social networking platform, Twitter - Britney Spears is also in the Top 5 of the ‘Most followed users’ list on Twitter with over 11.3 million followers. Here, she competes with the likes of Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian. Also in the Top 10 list of most followers are - Barack Obama, Rihanna, Shakira, Ashton Kutcher and Taylor Swift.
