Bose announces QuietComfort 35, QuietControl 30 and SoundSport Wireless headphones

Audio equipment maker Bose has showcased a bunch of new products and it seems that the company is focusing on going wireless. The range consists of three new products including the QuietComfort 35 headphones, QuietControl 30 noise-cancelling neckbuds and the SoundSport Wireless.

Priced at $350 the QuietComfort 35, as the name suggests, is very similar to the wired QuietComfort headphones with an around the ear design. The sound quality is said to be similar to QuietComfort 25 or the SoundLink II without the noise cancellation feature. Bose stresses on the headphones being wireless and promising a battery life of 20 hours on a single charge and even longer if you use it with bundled cable. Available in black or silver colour options, the Quiet comfort 35 is priced at $350 (approx Rs 23,000).

Next is the QuietControl 30, a noise-cancelling neckbud which sits inside your ears, with a plastic band that sits around your neck. These are quite unique as they let you adjust the level of noise cancellation either through an app on your phone or physical controls on the earbuds. Bose says it is suitable for users riding a bike or any other activity that requires a hint of what is happening around the user. This pair offers 10 hours of battery life and will cost $300 (approx Rs 20,000) when they officially hit stores in September.

Bose also introduced a new range Bluetooth earbuds called the SoundSport Wireless. This product is aimed at consumers who are into sports and fitness. Apart from being water and sweat resistant they come in a variety of colors. Bose says that the newly-designed set of tips snug in your ears tightly and don’t fall off even if you are in the middle of a vigorous workout. There is also another version called the SoundSport Pulse which includes a built-in heart rate monitor. The SoundSport earbuds will be available for $149 (approx Rs 9,900), and the Pulse version for $199 (approx Rs 13,500). No official word on the availability of any of the newly announced products in India.
