A game typically gets a Game of the Year Edition when developers are done making more content for it. This might be a bad sign for those who hoped Borderlands 2 would get more, but according to a report by IGN, Borderlands 2 will be getting a Game of the Year Edition.
According to IGN, the GotY edition of Borderlands 2 will get all of the DLC that has been released for the game. This includes the Creature Slaughter Dome, Psycho Pack, Captain Scarlet and her Pirate’s Booty, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, Mister Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade and Mechromancer Pack.
Time to kill more Bullymogs!
Interestingly, the game is set to get the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak next week. It will cost $5 (Rs 330 approx) on all platforms. It will feature a new map called Digistruct Peak, new loot and the ability to “overpower” your game for extra challenges.
The other DLC that is making its way to Borderlands 2 is Headhunter Pack: T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest. The DLC will be released this fall, and will include a new mission and a themed boss fight with T.K. Baha, who fans will remember being present in the first game and some of its DLC. Beating Baha will award players with new customisation options for their characters. The price for this DLC hasn’t yet been announced. There will be more Headhunter Packs released later.
Back when it was launched, we found Borderlands 2 to be a great game that refined the first title’s mechanics. Check out our review for more information.
