Snapdeal, one of the largest online e-commerce marketplace in India has launched an in-app integration with Uber. Uber is one of the most popular ride-hailing cab service which has dominated the Indian market. The in-app integration is the result of Uber API sharing which will enable thousands of Snapdeal users to easily request for an Uber cab without leaving the app. ![2016-07-28_122046](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/2016-07-28_122046.jpg) This is to increase the ease of using and accessing the Uber service using the existing platform offered by Snapdeal. There is no need to download Uber app separately to book the cab. This ties in with the larger vision by Snapdeal to create a vast e-commerce ecosystem. The company has been working on fulfilling the aim since quite some time. As a part of the effort, Snapdeal recently launched services which allow users to book flights, order food, and even pay bills directly from the Snapdeal app. Currently the payments of the Uber rides is restricted to Cash only payments. ![2016-07-28_122057](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/2016-07-28_122057.jpg) “We are committed to building the country’s most reliable and frictionless digital ecosystem, that caters to the entire range of India’s consumption needs. Our unique partnership with Uber, a global leader in smart mobility, is an important step in that direction. We are confident that this integration will further provide an exemplary experience to our customers," added Tony Navin, Senior Vice President Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives, Snapdeal. The service is available as a part of the latest Snapdeal update with support for smartphones running Android 4.0 and higher.
