BlackBerry has announced a price cut for its flagship Z10 in India, bringing the price down to Rs 17,990 for a limited period of time. The price drop has been introduced to celebrate the company’s 10th anniversary of its foray into the Indian market.
For a period of the next 60 days, you will be able to pick up a BlackBerry Z10 for the discounted price. This isn’t the first time when BlackBerry has announced a price cut for the Z10. Back in September last year, the Canadian manufacturer brought the price of the phone down from Rs 43,490 to Rs 29,990.
The price cut, interestingly, comes exactly a year after the Z10 was first introduced in India. The touch-phone comes with a 4.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and a 2GB RAM. The Z10 houses an 8-megapixel AF camera and a 2-megapixel front facing one. The phone comes with 16GB of internal memory which is expandable to 64GB via microSD. The show’s powered by an 1800mAh battery.
The company also announced a new BlackBerry 10 smartphone for Indonesia today, the BlackBerry Z3. The phone is a 5-inch device, produced in association with Foxconn, also runs on the latest BlackBerry 10 OS, 10.2.1. The update, also on the Z10, brings huge changes to the platform, as well as native compatibility with Android apps.
