That makes it two BlackBerry stories for today. We just saw a leaked image of the BlackBerry Orlando a while ago and now BoyGeniusReport has posted a preview of the BlackBerry Torch 2. According to the source, the smartphone seems to “offer a great experience”.
Looks good in the preview
We first saw the Torch 2 along with the Sedona/Apollo and it seems that the Torch 2 is similar to the Torch when talking about the outer casing. However, the internal hardware and software have been upgraded. The smartphone which has a QWERTY keypad, will be running on BlackBerry OS 6.1 and is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor. A quick look under the hood shows the following specifications of the Torch 2:
- 3.2-inch Capacitive Touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 640 pixels
- 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS support
- Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
- 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- Memory expandable up to 32 GB
So it looks like the Torch 2 is impressing people with its performance. However it’ll take a detailed review to know what exactly the smartphone has to offer.
