Blackberry announced a cut in the prices of its latest handsets for existing enterprise customers.

Blackberry announced a cut in the prices of its latest handsets for existing enterprise customers. “BES10 customers can now purchase BlackBerry Q10 smartphone at just Rs 39,990, BackBerry Z10 smartphone at Rs 29,000 and BlackBerry Q5 smartphone at Rs 22,699,” the company said in a statement. BlackBerry Q10 is available for retail customers through e-commerce websites for about 44,900, Z10 for 27,500 and Q5 for Rs 24,500, respectively.

It further said that the offer is only available to BlackBerry’s existing BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 customers in India. “As part of our on-going festive season promotions, we are introducing an exclusive offer for our valued BES10 enterprise customers,” Blackberry Managing Director for India Sunil Lalvani said.

As far as features are concerned the Z10 has a 4.2-inch LCD screen with a 1280 x 768 screen resolution and that comes to 356 pixel per inch. The phone is powered by a dual-core CPU clocked to 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM. The smartphone has 16 GB mass memory but this can be increased with microSD card. The maximum limit for the microSD card is 32GB. It has an eight megapixel rear camera with 1080 pixel video-recording capacity and a two megapixel camera with 720 pixel video-recording. The smartphone also has Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC support.

The BlackBerry Q10 has a 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard. It also has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM and 16GB mass memory. The Q10 also has an 8 MP main camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels resolution, autofocus, LED flash with geo-tagging, image stabilization. It can record video at 1080p@30fps and the secondary camera is 2 megapixel and can record videos at 720p.

The smartphones come with BlackBerry Balance Balance which lets users split their phone for both work and personal uses. This feature allows users to switch modes with a gesture on the homescreen. Users can divide work apps from personal apps, which should appeal to BlackBerry’s traditional enterprise customer base.
