We've been hearing about a Blackberry device running Android for some time now. Now, a new video showing Silver Blackberry Passport has surfaced online. The video (not in English) shows the device running Android Lollipop, giving a clear view of the home screen, app drawer and Google Play. YouTube user Dudu Rocha Tec has posted the hands-on video of the Silver Passport, reportedly codenamed Oslo.

While a gold variant of the Passport is already available, looks like the Silver one will make the much-rumoured switch to Android. Besides, we've been also hearing about the Blackberry 'Venice'smartphone. Last week, serial tipster Evan Blass, who is known to reveal accurate information about unannounced phones, had shared images along with videos of the purported BlackBerry ‘Venice’ smartphone on Twitter.

"Clearly there's a significant Android movement happening at the company's labs right now, even as it continues to sell BlackBerry 10 devices. It's believed that these new phones will borrow features from BB10 like BlackBerry Hub. (BlackBerry Messenger is already available across Android and iOS.) BlackBerry has yet to confirm plans to bring Android to the Passport, though the Venice was previously flashed on stage at one of its events", points out TheVerge.

In terms of rumoured specifications, the BlackBerry Venice smartphone is said to sport a 5.4-inch QHD display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It will be powered by a 1.8GHz hexa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3GB RAM. The device will sport a dual-edge curved display and will come equipped with a 18MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera.
